Country singer-songwriter Eric Paslay has built a career around songs that connect with people, but in this brief GratitudeSpace conversation, Jenny Rose asked him something even simpler:
Who are you grateful for right now?
Paslay didn’t hesitate.
He shared his gratitude for the fans who came out to support him, his wife, the people around him, and what he described as “grace from heaven.”
When Jenny asked him to choose one thing from that list and explain why it mattered, Paslay returned to grace.

What are you grateful for at this very moment?
Eric Paslay: I’m grateful for all the fans that came out tonight. I’m grateful for my wife. I’m grateful for grace from heaven. I’m grateful to be here. I’m grateful to meet you.

Out of all those things, what is one reason you’re grateful for one of them?
Eric Paslay: Grace from heaven gives me a reason to wake up every morning and know that there’s a bigger thing to be living for.
Sometimes a conversation about gratitude doesn’t need to be complicated.
For Paslay, gratitude comes back to purpose—the reminder that there is something larger than the moment in front of us and a reason to get up and meet another day.
It was a short conversation, but his answer gets right to the heart of what GratitudeSpace has always been about: noticing what matters and giving it our attention.
